Acoustic Wood Flooring Solutions London

Wood floors in flats with the acoustic build-up your lease or building manager asks for.

Acoustic underlays and build-ups for flats, mansion blocks and leases with sound rules.

Many London leases and mansion blocks require a minimum level of sound insulation before a hard floor can go in. Getting it wrong can mean ripping the floor back up.

Bring us your lease clause or the managing agent's requirement. We'll put together a build-up of underlay, adhesive and flooring that's been tested together to meet it, and give you the product information to submit for approval before work starts.

What's included

01

Lease review

We read the acoustic requirement in your lease or building rules with you.

02

Build-up planning

Underlay, adhesive and floor chosen as a tested system, not mixed and matched.

03

Acoustic underlays

Rubber, fibre and foam underlays matched to floating or glued floors.

04

Acoustic adhesives

Elastic adhesives that help reduce impact sound when bonded to the right underlay.

05

Edges & isolation

Perimeter gaps and isolation strips so sound doesn't bridge through skirtings.

06

Data sheets and test results ready to send to your managing agent.

Questions

Asked before, answered honestly.

Can I have a wood floor in my flat?
Usually, yes, as long as you use an acoustic build-up that meets your lease. We'll help you find the requirement and choose a system that satisfies it.
Does acoustic underlay change how the floor feels?
A good system feels solid underfoot. Very soft underlays can make floors feel springy, which is why we match the underlay to the floor type and fitting method.
